DHS AUSTIN
Housed in an existing building on the outskirts of Austin, this project modified a warehouse into a new administrative, processing, and holding facility for I.C.E. inclusive of fitness and training facilities and classrooms. Through an efficient layout, additional space was provided lobby and waiting room, resulting in a 92-person capacity, much improved over the existing facilities' 6-12 person capacity. The Sallyport and holding area are designed to maximize functionality within the space and minimize processing time through the space. The project also includes offices and work areas for governmental staff and other spaces specific to their agency.
