SW
This hospitality project began on a 2.89 acre riverfront site to host a hotel and residential program with an adjacent parking structure. The terraced site provides substantial opportunities to embed the architecture into the landscape meandering down to the river where it interfaces with the riparian river edge and public walking path. The 180 room hotel supports a group travel concept using suites and lock off that can be combined into multi bedroom apartments with views to the river and views to the mountains. An inset parking structure in the NW corner keeps the parking out of sight to not detract from the natural beauty of the site. The team is working to incorporate ideas of carbon recapture and passive building strategies used by natives, under-represented in the built environment, to maintain a constant temperature.
