With the development of two large soundstages, the city of Yonkers is repositioning itself as Hollywood on Hudson. While this new industry brings tremendous opportunity to the community it also creates an opportunity for gentrification. The SIC Film School endeavors to utilize the river facing half of the Police Athletic League to work with the local community to develop film industry skillsets that will allow Yonkers to grow with the industry rather than be displaced by it.

The building includes a 7,500 SF Soundstage, lecture hall, green room, screening room, roof top community garden, sound recording booth, workshop, hair and wardrobe, editing bays and other spaces necessary for the successful production of TV and film.
