Advocating for poor and disengaged youth, Learning Works builds education platforms tailored to their goal that all youth deserve a high school diploma. After their partner Homeboy won the Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize and purchased a building in Boyle Heights, Learning Works immediately wanted to tailor the spaces to their unique educational model. Through a series of workshops and design charrettes, JMAD helped Homeboy translate their teaching models to spaces which would feel dignified but familiar for their community of students.
